Why Haven't I Received My Inscription Yet?
Likely Reason for Why Your Inscription isn't in your Wallet
The most likely reason you haven't recieved your inscription yet is because the transaction that creates and sends the inscription to you has not been completed and added to the Bitcoin blockchain yet. This is due to the priority of your transaction i.e. its speed.
Luckily you have more then a few ways to check on your orders status. We created an in-depth article on the different options you have. You can also use this status-link to view all orders associated with your wallet.
What determines the speed of a Bitcoin transaction
The Bitcoin protocol adds news transactions to its blockchain approximately every 10 minutes. Each block can only store a limited number of transactions, with priority going to the transactions paying the highest fee.
Think of the Bitcoin blockchain like a train, where each cabin on the train is a new block. The conductors (miners) will let passengers (transactions) on not by first come first serve, but rather who is willing to pay the most amount for a ticket (network fee). The passengers wanting to get on the train stay in a waiting room (mempool) while they hope, to get into the next cabin (block).
If you have an outstanding order for an inscription it is possible you have difficulty sending another transaction until the previous one has been completed. This is dependent upon the number of UTxOs in your wallet. We have guides ready for you to ensure you won't run into this issue on your next mint, along with an explanation of why this issue can happen. Always feel free to reach out to the chatbot below with questions!
